In the second quarter of 2023, the city building game genre saw varied performance among the top five apps on the Android platform in Greece. Here’s a closer look at each app's weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Transport Tycoon Empire: City from Alda Games experienced fluctuating weekly revenue, peaking at about $96 in late May. Weekly downloads witnessed a notable dip, dropping from around 590 in early April to approximately 304 in early June, before rebounding to 648 by mid-June. Active users showed a slight decline from 1176 in late March to 849 in early June, eventually rising to 1250 by mid-June.

SimCity BuildIt by Electronic Arts had significant revenue peaks, notably reaching $847 in late April. Downloads spiked during mid-April and early June with figures around 1174 and 1182, respectively. Active users saw a substantial increase from 3424 in late March to an impressive 6798 in early June.

Megapolis: City Building Sim from Social Quantum Ltd maintained steady revenue, peaking at $47 in mid-April. Weekly downloads varied, with a high of 470 in early May and a low of 219 by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating between 1203 in late March and 1597 in mid-June.

Global City: Building Games by MY.GAMES B.V. showed consistent revenue, peaking at $165 in mid-April. Downloads saw a significant increase, reaching 748 in early May. Active users also displayed growth, rising from 645 in late March to 1382 in early May, but then gradually declined to 634 by the end of June.

Meta World: My City from Netmarble, despite being a new release in April 2023, had a strong start with 2021 downloads in its initial week. However, downloads sharply declined to 31 by early May. Active users followed a similar trend, starting at 1833 in mid-April and decreasing to 271 by the end of June.
